The DOTr-MRT3 invites qualified applicants for one (1) Railway Safety Specialist/Contractual/Salary Grade 16/Safety and Security Unit

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree

Experience : Two (2) years of relevant experience

Training : Eight (8) hours of relevant training

Eligibility : Not required for the contractual position

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Implementation of the applicable safety rules and regulations that are imposed either by the government or under the company safety code.
2. Formulation and recommendation of the company’s internal safety rules and regulations for the proper handling of machine, tools and equipment, to safeguard company personnel and properties and the riding public.
3. Formulation and implementation of safety plans.
4. Monitoring the compliance with applicable safety rules and regulations through periodic and spot check.
5. Assurance of the availability and good working condition of safety facilities within the various work area.
6. Assurance of the safety of the facilities.
7. Conduct of programs and schedule of activities for the prevention of accidents that may cause injury to employee and public and damage to property.
8. Conduct of programs and schedule of activities on fire and disaster prevention control and generate safety awareness and involvement among employees.
9. Conduct of studies and research on new trends in industrial safety management for the adoption of applicable safety measures techniques and devices.
10. Preparation and submission of report after boarding of Dynamic Train Testing, Test/School Train.
11. Performance of other functions that may be assigned from time to time.

3. Photocopy of CSC Eligibility/BAR or Board Rating/License; if applicable
4. Photocopy of Authenticated Transcript of Records and Diploma;
5. Photocopy of Certificates of Relevant Trainings/Seminars attended;
6. Photocopy of Service Record / Certificate of Employment;
7. Photocopy of Performance rating in the last rating period (if applicable); and
8. Other documents that may be required by this Office.

Applications with incomplete documents and submitted beyond the set deadline shall automatically disqualify the applicant in the selection process. Applications will be considered valid for a period of 1 year. Only applicants who are shortlisted will be contacted. Shortlisted applicants will be required to show original copies of their documents for verification. All information submitted by applicants shall be subject to verification and/or background check.
