New MRT-3 GM takes oath of office

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐎𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐁. 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐃𝐎𝐓𝐫) 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐉. 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞-𝟑 (𝐌𝐑𝐓-𝟑) 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲.

General Manager Bongon is a senior career official at MRT-3, with 27 years of service to the rail line prior to this appointment. He has held vital positions in the MRT-3 over the years, most recent of which is the Director for Operations role which he assumed on August 9, 2022.

He was part of the core DOTC MRT-3 Project Management Office (PMO) team in 1997 and spearheaded the Maintenance Supervisory, Safety and Security division of the line during the maiden roll of its trains along EDSA.

He also headed the MRT-3's Transport Division from 2004 to 2010; Station Division from 2010 to 2016; and Engineering Division from 2017 to 2022; and served as the Officer-in-Charge of the Safety and Security Unit from 2022, in his concurrent capacity as the Director for Operations.

Considered as a pillar of MRT-3, GM Bongon's long track record of service reflects the strong commitment he has in delivering safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation for the riding public.
